This is not a channeling.
It is curious when you hear the question “do you believe in extra-terrestrials?” Belief is merely the preface to intent, providing impetus to act. There is much that exists without our help in believing it. Let’s set aside vague suppositions and look at the facts.
As our astronomers and astrophysicists delve deeper into space with more and more sensitive telescopes, filters and spectrum analyzers, they have learned that there is a great deal of order in what once seemed to be chaos. There are patterns and synchronicities out there. One pattern that has recently surfaced is that most star systems observed are binary — that is, two Suns and their planetary systems which orbit each other like bolo balls in circumferential flight.
Another pattern they’ve begun to discover is that water exists everywhere in the universe. At first we might naively conclude “as below, so it is above.” But it is really “as above, so it is below,” meaning this planet is merely one of (uncountable) instances of water leading to life, then intelligent life.
With this in mind, and a little number crunching, the probability of other intelligent life in the universe leaps from “are we the only ones?” to “it is a statistical certainty that life exists elsewhere”. With a little more specific number crunching, not only is there a certainty of intelligent life, but many of these finished, life-sustaining planets have been around for millions, even billions of years before us.
Instead of spinning wheels in doubt and inconclusiveness, the better use of our mental energies would be to try our best to accept the reality that extraterrestrials have been here off and on for aeons, even among us — and how we might behave when meeting them face to face. We may learn that some of them are our ancestors!
The notion among our best thinkers is that a civilization advanced enough for interplanetary and intergalactic travel would also be advanced in spirituality, having only benevolent motives for contacting us (or NOT contacting us but helping us from behind the scenes) — that in fact the ability to perceive and harness such technology is concomitant with spiritual evolution. In short, we should have nothing to fear.
Such are the musings of this day.
